At this event, Ms. Wang will read from and discuss her brilliant new novel Rental House, a novel about Keru, Nate, and their sheepdog [as they] navigate “the big questions: How do you cope when your spouse and your family of origin clash? How many people (and dogs) make a family? And when the pack starts to disintegrate, what can you do to shepherd everyone back together?”

Ms. Wang’s new novel has earned rave reviews: Shahina Pivarali of Shelf Awareness says that Rental House is “Intimate ... Masterful,” and Publisher’s Weekly states that the novel is “Wonderfully acerbic ... A tour de force.”

Ann Levin from the Associated Press says, “Though ostensibly a comedy of manners built around an opposites-attract couple, Wang’s novel...is a poignant, profound meditation on this divided country enlivened by her dry wit and deadpan style,” and Alexis Burling of the San Francisco Chronicle asserts that Rental House is “Pure gold ... Wang is an eagle-eyed chronicler of the human condition.”
