Intergenerational relationships and communication can bring a wealth of benefits. Older generations can offer wisdom, knowledge, and experience to the younger generations, while younger generations can bring enthusiasm, dynamism, and new ideas to the discussion.

Waubonsee students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join Lifelong Learning Institute members in the Sugar Grove Campus Student Center Cafe for a conversation about civic engagement and community building while enjoying complimentary refreshments. Participants also will be able to make a wreath craft to take home and visit with Hope the comfort dog!

Fall 2024 Conversation: Civic Engagement and Community Building

We will discuss shared experiences, local changes, youth involvement, civic education, first political memory, advice, community priorities, volunteerism, and learning across ages.
