Art Exhibit by Rodrigo Lara entitled “Composing Polyrhythms”

The art exhibition Composing Polyrhythms features Rodrigo Lara’s series of artworks entitled Polyrhythms. While the concept for the series is grounded in musical tradition and theory, these artworks present a complex and literal twisting of classical portraiture in sculpture. The deconstruction of form speaks to the human body and mind’s ability to celebrate or demoralize, attack or applaud, commemorate or confound in contemporary society. Polyrhythms maintains its portrait-like qualities while complicating the body’s shape, purpose, and presentation in relation to the viewer.

Exhibition dates:  Saturday, November 9 – Friday, December 20, 2019

Viewing hours:
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
